Here's where I think I'm headed next...
Tonight: Gardiner, MT
Tomorrow: Cody, WY
Monday: Rapid City, SD
Tuesday: Somewhere near Mitchell, SD (home of the corn palace :)
Wednesday: Minneapolis
But that's all subject to change. I just decided I needed a bit of a plan since I'm told WY is totally empty, so I wanted to know where I was staying.
Probably no hikes today, but hopefully a plant that spews arsenic on it's residents (not any more) and Radon mines supposedly that cure ailments. Good times.

Re the strange plant. It looks like a type called a saprophyte, a true at one time green plant that decided to go underground and live off "the land". on whatever decaying plant matter was available. It's lost chlorophyll, and only appears above ground to flower. There are two species that I know of in the PNW, and we saw one in NE Spain.
